Reed Making Tools

Wind Plus supply the essential tools for making or adjusting your own oboe and bassoon reed.

Reed Knife - used to cut cane and scrape/adjust the reed

Mandrel - used to make it easier to hold the reed and provide stability when working the reed

Plaque - placed between the blades of the reed to provide a stable surface to work against when scraping/adjusting the reed

Cutting Blocks - provides a smooth hard surface to safely cut against
